Adaptive Imperative – A New Approach to Strategy |

Adaptive Imperative – A New Approach to Strategy

Synopsis:

The talk will present The Boston Consulting Group’s current thinking on adaptive strategy. The traditional basis of competitive advantage is built on position and capabilities. Today, due to more rapid, volatile and unpredictable changes, the classical approach to strategy has become inadequate, and unable to cope in these circumstances. Organizations must become more responsive, resilient, ready and recursive. Organizations must complement traditional capabilities with new bases of advantage – signal, system, people, simulation and social. This is as relevant to public sector as to private sector.
