We are living in a time of test for the United Nations and for multilateralism. Today's world of interconnected challenges for peace, developments and human rights require new and innovative responses. The challenges of today are global in scope and the best way to solve them is through effective multilateral and regional cooperation. Therefore, one of the central challenges for decision-makers is to show the world that good international solutions are in the national interest. UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson will share his analysis of our changing world and what forms of multilateral strategies and tools are needed to solve them.
