Singapore Competitiveness Report: Key findings

Singapore has over the last few decades achieved impressive success in moving from a young, poorly developed nation to become one of the most prosperous economies on the globe. One important reason among the many individual factors that played a role in this process has been the willingness to constantly review the country’s position in an international perspective. Based on these assessments, Singapore has again and again been able to take action and implement change where other countries remained stuck. In this context the Asia Competitiveness Institute is launching the first Singapore Competitiveness Report. Designed to be an annual publication, the Report tracks multiple indicators of Singapore’s competitiveness over time and in international comparison. The seminar will provide an overview of the Report’s conceptual framework, the key results, and the emerging policy conclusions.
