The presentation deals with over all export scenario prevailing in India with regard to its quantum, distribution, direction and composition. Further, it deals with various Foreign Trade Policy provisions as applicable on date announced by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It also deals with the intention of the Government behind setting up the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) in the year 1965 and the role being played by FIEO since then in promotion of Indiaâ€™s Foreign Trade. The presentation also deals with challenges and opportunities for an emerging economy like India with regard to its foreign trade and Political Economy, briefly touching upon the scenario prevailing in the world in general.
