The Lancet Series of Health in Southeast Asia, jointly sponsored by the China Medical Board (CMB), the Rockfeller Foundation and the Atlantic Philanthropies was launched in January 2011 in Bangkok at the Prince Mahidol Conference. Following the launch, regional responses from the public policy and health communities to this special edition of the Lancet series have resulted in national-level dissemination and deliberations, as experts and practitioners discuss the published findings and their policy implications for further action. This workshop is jointly organized by the NUS initiative for the Improvement of Health in Asia (NIHA) and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy to achieve the following objectives:
1) Disseminate the main findings of the Lancet Series on Health in Southeast Asia
2) Discuss from the findings the implications for regional health policies and systems, and
3) Encourage further research into the health challenges and policy issues identified
