Martin Stavenhagen is a Research Associate at the Institute of Water Policy (IWP), Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS).
┬áMartin completed his postgraduate program for Young Development Professionals at the German Development Institute in Bonn, and his Master of Public Policy with a specialization on Social, Environmental and Urban Policy at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS. His research interests include water and sanitation services, behavioral policy and domestic water usage, urban water demand management strategies, water-sensitive cities, and sustainable urban development in general.
┬áBefore joining IWP, Martin coordinated development projects for the German government, in particular in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, to support improving environmental measurements for air and water quality, and strengthening standards and quality infrastructure for the solar industry. He also designed and facilitated various policy training programs for senior officials from the public, private and civil society sector from more than 40 countries.
