Dr. Yap Kwong Weng is a business executive, social activist and author. He is President of ASEAN, USS Group; founder and CEO of Leap (Southeast Asia) and Regional Advisor, Indochina of LKY School. He is a founding board director of Triip that was named by CNN as a top start-up in Asia. 

In Myanmar, he was COO of Parami Energy Group and Deputy General Manager of Jebsen and Jessen (SEA). He chairs Global Dignity Cambodia, a global non-profit that conducts educational programs for children. From 2011 to 2013, he was the Secretary-General of the United Nations Association of Singapore. Previously in his military career, he was a US Navy SEAL trained Commando Captain from the Singapore Army. 

Dr. Yap is named Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2012 and is a Rotary Peace Fellow. He holds an MPA from LKY School, MBA from the University of Manchester and a PhD from the University of Glasgow. He published his autobiography titled Leap: Journey of a Young Global Leader (Marshall Cavendish, 2016).
