Research Analyst

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy research think-tank at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore

The Research Analyst will be responsible for research projects, from supervising data collection to statistical analyses and report writing. He/She will have the opportunity to acquire critical research skills and be part of a dynamic research team.

The main responsibilities of the Research Analyst are:

  • Ensuring data collection is in accordance with academic standards and rigour
  • Administering data cleaning and quality control
  • Monitoring participants’ feedback and response rates
  • Managing data entry, data processing and data analysis
  • Conducting literature review and research
  • Preparing survey reports and presentations of survey findings

Interested applicants must possess:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability in research management and operational procedures
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership qualities and ability to motivate team
  • Experience in computer software, e.g., SPSS/SAS, MS Excel
  • Degree or diploma holder, preferably with at least two years of work experience
